Mr. Snyder joined RBS, Incorporated in September 1997 to promote Geotechnical and Construction Engineering consulting services for the firm. Services currently available include Subsurface Exploration and Geotechnical Engineering Report development, field engineering evaluation, consulting, and design services. RBS, Incorporated also offers soils engineering construction monitoring QA/QC services.

  Mr. Snyder’s professional experience while at Froehling & Robertson, Inc. focused on producing Subsurface Exploration and Geotechnical Engineering reports for projects ranging from single-story residential houses to multi-story industrial and commercial structures. Mr. Snyder was involved with many large projects including million sq.-ft. warehouses, multi-story additions, communication towers, liquid storage tanks, large earthwork projects, failure investigations and remediation, and subsurface grouting.

Work responsibilities with F&R included project reconnaissance and exploration design, field engineering, foundation modifications (deep and shallow), slope stability analysis and design, retaining wall geotechnical evaluation and design, pile and drilled shaft foundation evaluation and design, rigid and flexible pavement design and evaluation, and the interpretation of laboratory results including triaxial, consolidation, permeability, and CBR. Specialties include engineering to mitigate karst features, karst feature evaluation and remediation, subgrade evaluation, and stabilization with geosynthetics.

Mr. Snyder’s work was performed in central and western Virginia as well as portions of West Virginia and North Carolina.
